XLink-S Empowers SIDUS Space's LizzieSat™

XLink-S: Equipping SIDUS Space’s LizzieSat™ for Multi-Mission Success

JULY 09, 2024

We are proud to announce that our XLink-S SDR transceiver platform is a key component and integral part of Sidus Space’s groundbreaking LizzieSat™ mission. Launched on March 4th, 2024, LizzieSat™ is a multi-mission satellite designed to provide a wealth of valuable remote sensing data from Low Earth Orbit (LEO). This mission represents a significant leap forward in space technology, leveraging custom payloads and flight-proven subsystems to meet the diverse needs of commercial, government, defense, and academic sectors.

At the heart of this satellite is our XLink-S, an S-band full duplex transceiver with SDR technology. With a volume of less than 0.2 U and weighting only 200 grams, XLink-S is incredibly compact, making it perfectly suitable for small satellite platforms like LizzieSat™ and efficient operation in the challenging conditions of Low Earth Orbit. It supports reliable and trustworthy communication for regular and ongoing telemetry and telecommand operations as well as payload data transmission. Our extensive experience and the transceiver’s exceptional characteristics ensure unmatched trustworthiness, which is crucial when dealing with such valuable data.

"The XLink-S SDR transceiver has exceeded our expectations in terms of reliability and performance. It has been a key component in ensuring the success of LizzieSat™, enabling us to deliver critical data seamlessly," said Carol Craig, Founder and CEO of Sidus Space.
